HILLSBORO, Ore., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Netflix Inc.
(Nasdaq: NFLX), the world's largest online DVD rental service, will
celebrate the opening of its Hillsboro, Oregon customer service division on
Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 2:00 p.m. with a unique ribbon cutting ceremony
featuring Netflix Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO Reed Hastings and Hillsboro
Mayor Tom Hughes and other local dignitaries.
Following their remarks at 3175 NW Alocleck Drive in this Portland
suburb, Hastings and Hughes will cut a long strand of the iconic Netflix
red envelopes using a Hollywood-style clapboard as scissors. Media will be
invited into the 28,000 square foot facility for interviews and a reception
following the ribbon cutting.
In July, Netflix announced the relocation of its customer service
division from Sunnyvale, Calif. to Hillsboro. The company is hiring staff
in Hillsboro in order to complete the transition. Candidates interested in
